The biggest loser asia : second season?

Posted By on May 13, 2010

The Biggest Loser Asia was a very successful program since it was launched in 2009. Participants from all over asia competed in this very first Asia series. The program was a success and its about time such program - 'weight loss reality shows' premiers in Asia.

All these while, asian depends on Hallmark Chanel to showcase the American version of the show. The rating was very good througout Asia. Localising such program normally would become a success as the audience had the sense of belonging when watching the show.

So, the question is, will The Biggest Loser Asia continue for another season in Asia. Will the 'Sarimah' factor, brings the show towards another level. I personally believed besides the contestant and trainer, the host herself was an attraction to glue audience to the show. And i do feel it is important to continue having the right person a host a program. No wonder, Mark Burnett hosted Survivor himself througout all the successfull season.

What does the biggest loser asia 2nd season need to capture the attention of the larger share of the Asian community? The answer lies in the process of selecting contestants where publisity have to be made in local language, announcing the prize money for winnners and location of auditions should be made more locals in differences places. To summarize, the publisity has to reach out to as many people as possible.

The Biggest Loser Asia needs to joint venture with more partners such as enwspaper or local print media to help boost it's promotion. Asia is a big market to tap, Just add all the Asean country contestant and were good to go. The numbers of contestants should be even and encourage interesting personalities in sequence of the biggest loser episode.

Hopefully in Season 2, The Biggest Loser Asia will find more success, and please let Sarimah Ibrahim continue become the host of the show!
